Mix DRY INGREDIENTS:
3 cups flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons baking soda
1 Tablespoon baking powder
Add WET INGREDIENTS:
3 eggs
1/4 cup melted butter
3 cups buttermilk
Stir.
Cook on griddle.
So, this recipe actually came from my mother’s aunt, Aunt Alice. But I call it “Mom’s recipe” and my kids call it “Mom’s recipe” too, because it is mine too. I can still remember meeting my Great Aunt Alice. She lived in a little white house across from Grandpa Max’s house and she had a purple beauty mark on her bottom lip. (Isn’t funny what stands out to little kids?)
